I have been practicing as a psychologist for the past 15 years, working with families and school districts in Connecticut and beyond to complete psychological, educational, and diagnostic evaluations for children and adults. I graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine where I majored in psychology and minored in education. I later received my Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Connecticut.
Prior to starting my own practice, I worked in public elementary and middle schools in Massachusetts and then at a private agency in Connecticut where I continue to grow my skills as an evaluator and a clinician working with individuals with complex learning and social-emotional profiles. In addition, I previously served as Site Director for a therapeutic program affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital where I supervised the administrative, clinical, and programmatic operations of a summer camp program for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. I have also been an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University and Suffolk University in Boston, MA where I taught graduate level courses in psychological assessment.
I am passionate about supporting individuals with special needs. Throughout my experiences working working with families, providers and school teams to support struggling learners, I have gained an immense appreciation for the importance of understanding who a child is, identifying areas of strength in addition to vulnerabilities, providing advocacy, and partnering with children, families, providers and school teams to achieve the common goal of improving outcomes for individuals and families.
